Dear St. Lukers,
This is one of those weeks at St. Luke’s where you just KNOW Christmas is right around the corner…everything is coming together, and the campus continues to twinkle even more as we journey through Advent together. There are so many things to celebrate this week.
First, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you on behalf of our Missions team to everyone who donated toys to our Circles Holiday Party. Your generosity has ensured that the joy of sharing at Christmas will be alive for families in East Winter Garden and beyond!
Then, if you haven’t gotten your tickets yet for Sounds of the Season, there are only a select few left – TONIGHT our concerts kick off in the Sanctuary, and you’re not going to want to miss it! Performances continue through Sunday, but you’ll want to come sooner than that because Sunday is SOLD OUT!
Christmas Concerts are a great opportunity to invite friends and family to come and experience St. Luke’s for the first time, and so is another pretty significant event we have coming up…Christmas Eve! You can click here to see the times for all of our services beginning on December 22 with our Family Nativity Service, through Christmas Eve itself with 8 total opportunities to celebrate the birth of the Christ Child together. Let this be the year you invite a friend, neighbor, or coworker to join you in worship. A simple invitation could lead to a life-changing experience.
And, of course, we will continue our worship series, Fear Not!, this Sunday as we focus on the Angel’s visit to Joseph, and how he shows us what it looks like to put LOVE over fear. Together, we’ll consider how we can embrace love over fear in our own lives, guided by the example of Joseph’s faith.
I pray your week is filled with that LOVE, as well as the HOPE and PEACE we celebrated the last two weeks. See you this Sunday as we worship our loving God together.
