St. Lukers responded to the call for Surgical Masks that were in short supply and high demand due to the COVID-19 outbreak. These masks were not only needed at hospitals, but have become necessary for some of our ministry partners as they navigate protecting their vulnerable communities who cannot easily keep a 6 foot distance from others with the “Shelter in Place” order.
Volunteers sewed masks that will be used at the Coalition for the Homeless and for Shepherd’s Hope. 575 masks were delivered to Coalition for the Homeless, 260 masks went to Shepherd’s Hope, 50 to Union Rescue Mission, and 150 were delivered to Winnie Palmer Hospital.
