Please join us in celebrating Missions’ new partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP)!
As part of our Restoring Hope, we are so excited that Sleep in Heavenly Peace fits well with our commitment to sustainable and dignified housing to our neighbors.
Close to 800,000 children in the U.S. don’t have a bed. These children end up sleeping on floors – sometimes without a mattress. A bed is a basic need for the physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing of a child. SHP is a national organization answering the call to a national problem. They partner with organizations to build, assemble, and deliver top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!®
Our last bed build day was September 28, 2024.
We had 180 volunteers who built 57 beds!
Our next build day is scheduled for
Saturday, May 3, 2025.
Please check back for link to register.
This is a great opportunity for families and friends to serve together!
This activity is appropriate for ages 10 years and older.
No prior experience with tools or wood working is required.
Check out the video below to see how these beds are built.
