Happy National Hispanic Heritage Month!
Each year, we celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. The “month” goes from September 15 through October 15, during which many Latin American countries celebrate their independence as well as Columbus Day or Día de la Raza. A quick google search will yield lists of many well-loved artists, musicians, politicians, scientists, authors, etc., of Latin American origins, some of whom may surprise you! Take some time this month to learn about some of these people and how they continue to influence the world!
