Dear St. Lukers,
How is your Lenten journey going? Have you been walking intentionally through this season, or has life pulled you in other directions? If you haven’t engaged as much as you hoped—don’t worry, it’s never too late to jump in. The wilderness is a hard place to be, but it prepares us for what’s to come. And what’s coming is the joy of resurrection!
As we look ahead to Easter, we have a special opportunity this weekend (Saturday, April 5) to live out our faith through Easter Hop! More than just a fun event, Easter Hop is a chance to welcome our community and share the heart of St. Luke’s. Families will not only enjoy games, crafts, and activities, but they’ll also get to see our Christ-centered core values of acceptance, hospitality, and community in action. They’ll learn about some of our ministry areas, including the incredible work of our Missions team, who are constantly finding ways to help those in need.
One of the most exciting parts of Easter Hop is the chance for families to make a difference while having fun. We’ll be supporting ZOE Empowers, one of our global Mission partners, by offering guests the opportunity to sponsor a family in another country. By purchasing a stuffed animal, families will help provide real animals that create sustainable resources for children who need them.
There’s still time to be a part of this event! You can volunteer (click here to sign up), donate candy (bring donations to the table in Building C), or simply attend and bring a friend.
And don’t forget—Holy Week at St. Luke’s is just around the corner (click here for worship service details and more), and you won’t want to miss the chance to walk through this sacred time together. Our Praise Band and Sanctuary Choir have been preparing for a truly special week of worship, and we have made it easy for you to invite your friends, your neighbors, your coworkers, EVERYONE to experience it with you! Click here to check out our media kit with ready-to-share social media graphics and pre-written posts you can copy and paste to help spread the word in your circles. Good things are happening at St. Luke’s! So good that you should be proud of your church—and you should be talking about it! In a world where bad news dominates, be an agent of change by sharing the Good News.
See you this weekend!
