Free BP Screenings and Blood Drive

January 26, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Free Blood Pressure Screening will be available on campus Sunday, January 26, outside both worship venues for anyone interested or not donating blood.

The Big Red Bus will be back at St. Luke’s on Sunday, January 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. near Building C. (Donors age 16 who weigh at least 110 pounds may donate with parental consent. For youth age 17, no consent is needed)  Photo ID is required. Pre-scheduling your time slot is strongly encouraged. OneBlood can take walk-ins but it will depend on the available open slots. Click on the button below to sign up.

Eligible donors will receive a OneBlood T-shirt and a $20 E-gift card! Donors will also receive a wellness checkup including blood pressure check, pulse, temperature, iron level, and cholesterol screening. Donors will be asked to provide their cell phone numbers upon arrival and will need to wait in their car, on campus, or outside the Big Red Bus. Donors will be called when it is their turn to donate blood. Contact the Care office with any questions.

As a donor, you will now have the ability to choose a donation of platelets. One of the biggest benefits of donating platelets is that they give your red blood cells and fluids back to you making you less likely to experience fatigue or other side effects from donating. Platelets regenerate much quicker in the body than whole blood. A representative will be available at the drive and will determine if you are a candidate to donate platelets.
