“The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; GOD will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged.” -Deuteronomy 31:8
The actions and violence we have seen today show the deep division in our nation. While we are overwhelmed and excited by the movement of the Holy Spirit among our congregation with more than 250 St. Lukers and friends signed up to begin a new year in Bible study tonight, Pastor Bill along with all of your clergy team understand our minds will be elsewhere trying to discern how we move forward.
None of us have experienced moments like this or any other we have lived through in the last year but as people of faith, we recognize that the first posture we should take in the face of uncertainty, is the posture of prayer. We will do that tonight at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom during a prayer vigil for our nation.
If you are already registered for tonight’s Bible study, you can join via the link provided in your confirmation email. If you are not already registered and would like to join us for Scripture, silence, and prayer for our country, you can register here and receive the Zoom link. This is not a time for division or opinions. Just prayer and examination of our hearts as we turn to God where we find our peace. Please join us as we seek the heart of God and the healing of divine love.
