Happy Kickoff Week St. Lukers!
I hope you were as energized as we were on Sunday as we kicked off the fall being reminded of our callings as disciples – to learn, live, love and lead together with each of our “wild and precious” lives!
So I’m just going to challenge you again – what plans did you make for your life this fall, so that you are shaping your life around your faith and values, rather than fitting your faith and values around your life?
- Have you subscribed to the Your Week with St. Luke’s podcast or our YouTube Channel so that you are taking 15 or 20 minutes every week to LEARN more about God’s story in scripture?
- Do you have your class or small group schedule in your calendar or planner, so that you can be sure as other things come up, you can prioritize that important time to LIVE in community together? (Or if you still need to sign up for a class or small group, there’s still plenty of time to jump in!)
- Have you blocked out an hour every Sunday to join us in worship at 9:30 or 10:00 to LOVE God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength alongside other St. Lukers?
- And have you named how you want to reveal the kingdom and serve either at St. Luke’s or in the community so that you are LEADing your life with intention?
There were lots of opportunities to get plugged in on Sunday, so be sure to check back with the ministry directors you spoke with about how to take the next steps in working with those ministries! And if you didn’t get a chance to walk through the ministry fair, one of the biggest needs we have right now is in Children’s Ministry:
Children’s Ministry is seeking loving individuals to assist on Sunday mornings with:
o Two-year-old room
o Three-year-old room
o Kindergarten room
Volunteers can assist lead teachers with lesson, snack, craft and play.

There are so many opportunities coming up this fall to be involved, and this Sunday in worship we’ll be talking more about how our Wesleyan faith requires us to respond in action and service, not just belief, because of our call as disciples of Jesus Christ.
I hope you’ll join us this Sunday for worship, as we continue to discover who we are as Methodists and St. Lukers, and how that invites us into leading lives of deep meaning and purpose!
See you Sunday!
